Things to bring:

1. A square canvas – the size of your choice. We’ll be painting in a big bold style so bigger the 30x30cm or bigger would be ideal.

2. Brushes – a minimum of 4 brushes and a pointed end pallet knife – a wide flat square 2-inch brush, a 1-inch square brush, a 1/4-inch square brush, a fine detail brush. Obviously, more brushes and differently shaped pallet knives will give you more choice of mark-making.

3. Acrylic paints – a minimum of 7: Ultramarine, Paynes Grey, Cadmium Yellow, Process Magenta, Burnt Umber, Titanium White, Cadmium Red.

Additional useful colours: ~ Cobalt Blue, Cerulean Blue, Windsor Violet, Yellow Ochre, Lemon Yellow, Naples Yellow, Red Ochre, Burnt Sienna, Alizarin Crimson, Raw Umber, Lamp Black.

4. Pallet or flat plate for paint mixing and kitchen roll.
